Established in 2011, The Rocksalt Group is an independently owned and award winning group of restaurants and pubs located across the South Coast of Kent. The operation includes flagship restaurant Rocksalt, which has held 2 AA rosettes for 12 consecutive years running, plus it's sister fish restaurant Little Rock and Pilot beach bar located just a short walk away in Folkestone Harbour. The Rocksalt Group also owns a group of highly regarded pubs under The Pickled Egg Pub Company. Executive Group Chef Marcin Szelag who has worked for the group since Rocksalt first opened it's doors over 12 years ago, now leads a strong team of talented chefs across all venues and oversees the operation and delivery of all menus across the group. With a key focus on locally sourced, seasonal produce from highly regarded local suppliers, Marcin plays a pivotal role in the success of all venues.

Working at The Five Bells

Along with The Five Bells, The Pickled Egg Pub Company own and operate 3 other sites across Kent. These include The Duke William, a quintessential Kentish Pub located in the heart of the Garden of England, The Woolpack, a beautiful 16th century inn nestled in the peacefully picturesque village of Warehorne and The Radnor Arms, a recently-renovated victorian pub in the Old Bouverie district of Folkestone.

  • Ideally you will have gained experience within a high volume kitchen either as a CDP or Commis Chef and want to further your career further
salary

£11.50 - £14.00 per hour including tips, joining bonus, retention bonus, pension and staff discounts

About You

The Five Bells is an iconic country pub in the picturesque village of East Brabourne, known and loved by locals and the wider South Kent community alike. Winner of 2019's National Pub of the Year Award, along with 4 AA Rosette stars, The Five Bells currently serves the best in locally sourced and seasonal dishes, built around a core menu plus daily specials, all created by Head Chef Sasha Cooper and her amazing kitchen team. The Bells also possesses a stunning outside Summer terrace, complete with garden bar, covered potting shed and 4 beautiful guest rooms located above the pub. General Manager Memo Elmokadem, has been involved with the running of the pub for nearly 10 years and always offers a warm welcome to all customers. We are looking for hardworking and creative industry professionals to join the teams. We are ideally looking for CDP Chefs with at least 1 years experience in a high end fast paced kitchen.
