Established in 2011, The Rocksalt Group is an independently owned and award winning group of restaurants and pubs located across the South Coast of Kent. The operation includes flagship restaurant Rocksalt, which has held 2 AA rosettes for 12 consecutive years running, plus it's sister fish restaurant Little Rock and Pilot beach bar located just a short walk away in Folkestone Harbour. The Rocksalt Group also owns a group of highly regarded pubs under The Pickled Egg Pub Company. Executive Group Chef Marcin Szelag who has worked for the group since Rocksalt first opened it's doors over 12 years ago, now leads a strong team of talented chefs across all venues and oversees the operation and delivery of all menus across the group. With a key focus on locally sourced, seasonal produce from highly regarded local suppliers, Marcin plays a pivotal role in the success of all venues. Rocksalt is a casual fine dining restaurant in Folkestone and serves the best locally sourced and seasonal produce from along the Kent Coast and surrounding countryside with a strong leaning towards fish and seafood. Holding 2 AA Rosette's since its opening in 2011, the restaurant itself sits cantilevered over Folkestone harbour with stunning panoramic views out over the English Channel. The Restaurant also boasts a stunning bar area serving its own separate bar menu and the newly opened Rocksalt Garden on the viaduct plus 4 beautifully restored guest rooms. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team under the management of Head Chef Akos Mate and General Manager Leon Foissy, who both possess a wealth of experience gained from some of London and The South East's finest dining destinations.
- Greet and look after guests
- Understand and communicate the menu and all products available
- Handling payments
- Working as part of the team, making a positive contribution to the friendly atmosphere and smooth running of the restaurant
Up to £18 per hour including tips
We are currently looking for Runners, Waiters and Bar Tenders. You must be well presented and highly motivated. For Bar Tender positions you will ideally have good knowledge of cocktails and the drinks industry gained through working in relevant high-end establishments. You must have a willingness to learn, the ability to remain calm under pressure, have great communication skills and a welcoming smile! - Applicants must be well presented and highly motivated
- Possess superb customer service and communication skills
- High end hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
- Waiting experience and a passion for food is also beneficial as Rocksalt Bar operates its own extremely popular independent food menu from the restaurant downstairs.
